Empowering Minds: An Original 8-Step Framework for Explicitly Teaching Critical Thinking in IB Classrooms equips teachers with a classroom-ready, evidence-informed framework for explicitly teaching critical thinking in IB MYP and DP classrooms. Through scaffolded instructional strategies, thinking routines, teacher prompts, graphic organizers, and reflection activities, students develop IB Approaches to Learning (ATL) critical thinking skills, learn to ask meaningful questions, analyse information, evaluate evidence, justify decisions, and draw well-reasoned conclusions, while embodying the IB Learner Profile attribute of being Thinkers and building transferable skills for success beyond the classroom.
